Columbus Ohio Cake Smash Photographer

I’m sure you’ve heard that before, or someone is telling you “You will miss this, just wait” when you are exhausted from being up all night with a baby, overwhelmed with a teething 6 month old or panicking about your baby getting hurt as they take their first steps.

But, you will. Trust me, you will miss them being so small. I have 3 boys and my oldest is 15 now. The first moments are almost all gone, and we are looking into the lasts as he looks to graduation and beyond.

This is why I stress to my clients, capture every moment. With life being so busy and constantly on the go, it is tough to remember to set aside time to capture your growing little one’s milestones.  You’ll want to remember the gummy grins, belly laughs and of course the messiness of a cake smash session! As a Columbus Ohio Cake Smash and Milestone Photographer, I strive in making your session as fun, stress free and special as I can.

Whether you are a returning Newborn client, or just now found me, I would love to have you part of The Milestone Program. You can choose to do your sessions whenever, but I have found the most success in 4, 6, 8, & 12 month ages. This way, you get to really see just how much your baby has grown.

A question I get asked a lot is should we do cake? Well, that is up to you! You can choose to stick with traditional heirloom style images, or go all out with a custom cake smash, that is all up to your personal taste, no pun intended. For those who are iffy about doing cake, maybe consider a food session instead. They are SO fun, equally as cute and messy and you can get really creative with your set design! I have done Tacos, Pizza,

Chick-Fil-A, Chipotle, Steak, Ice Cream, Donuts, and Spaghetti! The ideas are endless and the food is included in your package fee!

With the exception of 4 months, most Milestone Sessions can be done in my Pataskala Ohio Studio, or outside at a local park! With my studio being located so close to many suburbs such as New Albany, Granville, Reynoldsburg, Pickerington and Johnstown, we can easily find a location that works for your family.

Do You Supply The Cakes?

Yep! Now, if baby has food allergies I ask that you please bring the cake for liability issues.

What Themes Do You Suggest?

Oh, goodness! There are SO many fun themes! A few of my favorites are:

  • Video Games: Mario, Pacman, Sonic, Atari

  • Movies: Star Wars, Alice in Wonderland, Up, Peter Pan, Cinderella.

  • Sports: Baseball, Football, Golf, Fishing or Sports Teams.

  • Flowers, Boho, Animals

  • Food, especially Donuts, Spaghetti, Pizza and Tacos! Anything baby can easily pick up!

  • Colors: These are sometimes the BEST because they are so simple and cute!

Those Balloon Garlands are so fun!! What happens to them after the session?

Aren’t they so cool? I love making them! After the session, you are free to take it home to use at your party. If the balloon color scheme doesn’t match your party, or you already hosted the party I find new homes for them. Sometimes, I post it for free for other parents to use for their parties, or I gift them to the local schools or churches for upcoming events. I make sure they have multiple jobs and aren’t wasted.
